Kent in top 100 global rankings for ‘international outlook’

The Times Higher Education table has positioned the University of Kent at 66^th out of 800 global institutions. This placed Kent in the ‘top 10% of the world’s leading universities for international outlook’.

On the Times Higher Education website they state:

The international outlook indicator considers each institution’s proportion of international staff, proportion of international students and proportion of research papers published with at least one co-author from another country. All the institutions that feature in the top 800 of the overall 2015-2016 ranking have been considered.

Imperial College London placed the best out of the UK institutions ranking 10^th, and the United Kingdom dominates the list as ‘the nation that does the best on this measure overall’

The news comes not long after a continuous stream of good news:

• Was nominated for ‘University of the Year 2015’
• Rose 4 places to 16^th in The Guardian’s league table
• Came 360^th in the QS World University Rankings
• Maintained it’s 22^nd ranking in the Complete University Guide
• 93^rd in the 100 under 50 rankings

This recent success comes as the University celebrates its 50 year anniversary as an institution of higher education.

The Times & The Sunday Times described Kent’s international outlook as:

…probably the UK’s most active in Europe, both in terms of its participation in EU programmes and in its continental ventures … There are partnerships with over 100 European universities, and 25% of all students are from outside the UK. [with a] student population more diverse than many in the south of England
