The kebab shop, located next to the Westgate Towers, has been ordered by the Canterbury City Council to remove the graffiti that has covered the takeaway after it was destroyed in a fire last year.

A spokesman from the council has stated that if the graffiti isn’t removed, the council will remove it and charge the owner.

After the fire last year, Westgate Kebabs no longer lease the building. Following the insurance claim, the building will be repaired and reopen as another hot food takeaway.

According to an agent for the property, this could be “kebabs, Chinese, Indian – who knows yet?”
