The Third Degree returns to Kent at The Gulbenkian!

KTV’s production “The Third Degree” returns to Kent on Monday 23rd of February, in partnership with The Gulbenkian, for another topical panel debate show featuring student politicians, local parliamentary candidates and local politicians – and now you can be in the audience too!

December 2014 saw the pilot recording of a brand new political debate show, chaired by students Petra Clews and Andreas Payne and produced by Faisal Tannir and Laura Thomas-Jenkins, in which panellists such as Stuart Jeffrey, Green Parliamentary Candidate for Canterbury, and Jim Gascoyne, UKIP Parliamentary Candidate for Canterbury, debated alongside student panellists in front of a small audience.

Following the success of the first recording, two more shows have now been planned to take place, this time with filming taking place in partnership with The Gulbenkian, with the first planned to be recorded on Monday 23rd of February. Confirmed panellists include leading student politicians Shelly Asquith (President of SUArts), Aaron Kiely (NUS National Executive), Stuart Jeffrey (Green) and James Flannagan (Lib Dem) – with more set to be confirmed within the coming days!

Speaking to InQuire, the production team of The Third Degree said: “We’re really pleased to be bringing back The Third Degree, and putting it on in such a prestige location as The Gulbenkian. This time the audience will form a really key part of our broadcast, and we really want as many people as possible to join us – so do make sure you book your free ticket before they run out!”
