The story behind the ‘pulled’ Batgirl cover

The new cover of Batgirl #41 has caused a massive stir in the comic book world recently. The cover was to be published alongside 24 other variant covers in June 2015 in recognition of the 75th anniversary of the Joker. The artists rendition, as featured above, has been pulled by DC after the artist himself, Rafael Albuquerque, requested for it not to be used because of the outrage that erupted from fans on Twitter. £12 million railway investment will shorten Canterbury commuters’ journeys

Network Rail and the Regional Growth Fund, managed by Kent County Council and provided by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, is investing £12 million into improving the high speed train line HS1. Improvements will involve extensive road works across the city’s railway lines in future years, but improvements are predicted to cut up to 10 minutes off Canterbury commuters’ journeys. Transport chiefs and politicians believe this investment will benefit East Kent and reduce journey times between Ramsgate and London. After a highly dramatic Six Nations championship which saw four teams in with a chance of winning the title, Patrick Kamalu runs through what happened on Super Saturday.
