Canterbury indie kids will be hot-footing it down to Club NME this Monday to see the new arrival on the scene, Black Kids. The five-piece hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, have been well-received by the music press. Everyone from Rolling Stone to Vice Magazine has been singing their praises. NME have described them as ‘an all-you-can eat buffet for the ears and the feet’. They’ve played support for such acts as Tilly and the Wall and the lam-rock hipsters, Of Montreal and now they’ve been tipped for the big-time (or at least in indie terms) for 2008.
